Surreal Cabinet De Monstres Du Doctor Stuchla

LIZ SAYS: We ran into this wonderfully imaginative exhibition at the Centre Tcheque, while walking through the galleries in the area. I won’t say much because the pictures speak for themselves. It was called The Cabinet of the Monsters of Dr. Stuchla. Everyone of these objects were interactive, they either lit up and moved or made a sound when you went past. The whole place was done up like a surreal circus-y haunted house. It was not dark but light an wacky. The boxes had cranks or treadles that had to be turned or pumped to activate the animation. Everything was meant to be worked and touched. It was a treat!
