Back and Ready to Go

LIZ SAYS: It's strange to be back, but of course jet lag adds to the ambiance ;-}. All of our flights went off as expected except the smallest leap of all the flight from Milwaukee to Madison after Christmas. We ended up driving back to Madison in one of Maybe America's Last Muscle Cars, the Charger. Our flight was canceled, so we rented a car and hit the foggy path back to the house with the For Sale sign in front.
Our greatest neighbor in the world had perfectly plowed the entire driveway and sidewalk.
I have to admit Madison looked like a postcard as we flew over it from the transatlantic flight.
It was a dip over the lake to see the capitol all covered in white. It was a beautiful Christmas scene.
We knew we wouldn't be able to drive so we flew to Milwaukee Christmas day for the family get together. That, we couldn't get back from, Drive, she said.

Like I said, its strange to be back. Mentally, I'm still in Paris. The house seems foreign and huge. I realize I want less and less of the things in it. Almost all of them were treasures but now just seem like obstacles.
The idea of living in such a small place has made me think about making art that does not require space. I thought of painting on silk, or colorful pen and inks, more ideas to come up with. Interesting, change.
