Biennial

reflective ball
snowball you could walk through made of unique snowflakes, very calming
view of the exhibit from halfway up the scaffolding from the photo installation where you can cut the rotating photo stack with a knife
looking down at the photo stack and the photos glued to the floor
cast felt palm tree trunks and furrowed earth
the black box that shook with great fervor scary and fun!
the automated protest
LIZ SAYS: Art is everywhere, inspiration is seeping out of the walls. Once outside there is so much to choose from it can become thrilling in a second. Walking from museum to exhibit through gardens, ouh la la!
One show we visited at the Grand Palais was The French Biennial. The Grand Palais is a fabulous iron nouveau structure and the show was created in its own ultimate scultural space. Very little painting, mostly installations, it was a fabulous use of the space.
