LIZ SAYS: We had to take the train to Liege and then pick up a car to drive to Spa. All we saw of Liege was the great construction of the new Calatrava Train Station and the industrial area where we picked up the car.
It was great to arrive there while the station was still under construction, it felt exciting. It is beautiful, all white tubes and glass, open and airy.
The workmen were using cranes to put huge panes of glass in place on the angled roof.
