Riding the Canals of Amsterdam
LIZ SAYS: Our friends in Amsterdam, Eric and Jo, took us out for a boat ride on the canals. Eric manned the helm and Jo dispensed everything consumable. Yum. Another couple, the FreeWheelers, were with us. They play cello and bass and played several songs along the ride. It was so much fun, finding herons around several turns, Jo occasional tossing the odd piece of bread at a high arc, over the side. Having the huge swan look in on the boat and wondering if he will strike, all the time Eric was smoothly guiding the thing into various shaped under bridges and dark tunnels.And, yes that is a yellow submarine. Oh,we had a great time. I could get used to boat rides, on canals, in Itchycoo Park.
