This is a rolling bar. It is a big bike-like thing that guys, yeah, its usually guys, ride by pedaling sideways. They are either fueled by or rewarded with, beer that they suck up during their workout. You can hear them coming from a couple of blocks away, as they exclaim "Whoa! Woo Hoo, " when confronted by the slopes of the bridges and dips of the cobbled Amsterdam streets. There is a leader or minder who does not drink and shouts out commands and probably inspirational slogans. I have to admire their desire to work for their beer on the Dr. Suess-like contraption. But, one thing does puzzle me, who would pay for the privilege to do this? Evidently, plenty of people!
