Vincent HD and the Bourseplein in Amsterdam

Vincent HD
Speaking of flakey, here’s an astounding development in the art world. Evidently, Vincent Van Gogh is mounting his dream exhibition. And, get this, he is presenting his work in a brighter lighter form. He’s not showing those tired old bits from the late 1800’s, he’s updated those old rags with digital enhancement. It only fourteen euros, if you want to see his new stuff.

And speaking of new stuff! Jesus is back, in gold, on the Dam square. He poses, wishing for gold in his big gold cup, with a stuffed golden dog/sheep and a not to heavy cross to bear.
He didn’t even flinch when the girl came up and wrapped her arm around his shoulder, striking a pose for her photo man and his camera.

The Vincent HD show is in the Bourseplein. Its got a seat that is the perfect perch when the rain is blowing through. Perfect refuge is at the top of the steps, at a table in a non-functioning doorway. Its perfectly shielded from the rain overhead, without being closed in.

The Stock Market is located in the Bouseplein which is also where a homeless fellow has erected a clever tribute to the American west.

The non-functioning doorway leads to an okay restaurant but the food is less of a draw than the murals on the walls. Great Amsterdam School nudes in the woods of your mind, frozen mid gesture like Cockteau’s wall lamps.
