Dubuffet and the Rain
LIZ SAYS: Yesterday we treated ourselves to a look at the Dubuffet Foundation in Paris. It was great. I love his stuff and it was in a great house buried in a courtyard of old plantings. It was absolutely inspirational. Outside of Paris, there is another location with an installation of his sculpture. We will have to have a car for that.
We also stopped by the Hungarian Cultural Center, which had a show of great Paris/Budapest photos and a Bauhaus era group of paintings. The paintings were very weird as the political bent was a little different than what we usually see. I could not read the wall text, so, I can't say what they were about.
I am trying to get Buster a slightly larger cage from the UK. They have gorgeous stainless steel one that is the perfect size. His current cage is really too small. It is really strange but they will not ship it to France. France has very little for pet birds larger than a parakeet, although they do sell them. You have to buy cages from other countries.
Today, we studied at the bistro again and it was gorgeous outside until it began to pour rain! It rains a lot, even if it is part of the day. So, I bought a sunny umbrella!
