a Little too BREATHLESS

(I did not take this photo. It is from the AFP news site)
LIZ SAYS: Late this morning we noticed a helicopter hovering over our neighborhood. It was very, very low so we could hear that thuddy sound they make very loudly. Out side on the balcony, we could see that the police had blocked off the street in sections. They were not allowing anyone in a car past one point, the second point stopped all cars and foot traffic.
Okay.
So, we decided to go out for coffee and to study our french in a different cafe in towards the barrier, admittedly, to see what was up.
There were two helicopters and about 20 cop cars, marked and unmarked.
Then we saw the real force. There were men in black covered completely, all you could see where their eyes and they had little machine guns. We saw about a dozen.
There were press trucks all over the place, tourists snapping photos, people talking to the street blocking police.
Even the Moffatard Market street was closed. This is unheard of, at least since I have been here.
We came home. Dick found it online. It was a bank robbery, with hostages.
No one was hurt and the police found two of the robbers, so far. The press described the male robber as a black male with a list of 41 incidents with the police in the last 2 years. The female was described as blond and very beautiful by an eye witness.
