LIZ SAYS:I watched a guy walk right into a car yesterday. It was so shocking, all I could say was "aouwa!" We were at an intersection and he just didn't notice that the light had NOT changed and that a car was coming. The asian driver slowed down because he seemed to intuit the kid's actions. So, the car just bumped him. But, I'm sure this morning the kid is going to have a sore knee and a purple leg.
French people seem very distracted in general. They often just stop walking to look at something, even if they are in the middle of the street! There is a lot of honking, "Wake up and drive", "Get out of my way" and of course, "Sacre Bleu! You idiot!"
