Lynch Windows @ Gallerie Lafayette

this is a slight close up of an interactive game. You hit 'select color' and things happen concluding with Winner or Loser. Dick chose red and lost, Liz chose blue and won.
this seemed to be a woman standing on tll building looking down or flying up or flashing the street below, or whatever you can imagine. the thing is, all of these windows faced the street, so you see the reflection of the building across the street in the glass, so please keep that in mind when viewing these. the street below in this installation was on video or back lit, so it shone as the skirt fluttered in a simulated breeze.

this window was on a black background so the photo shows everything on the street instead of the black which actually made for a much better photo. in case you can't tell, its a railroad track with train running through a greek mask.

Adrian had just dropped by and told us about this installation. David Lynch, the director, for those who don't know, had done a series of window installations in the department store, Gallerie Lafayette. The department store is known for its fabulous Tiffany ceiling. The last time we'd been there it was Christmas and they hang a tree from the ceiling, so you couldn't really see the ceiling in all its glory.
