LIZ SAYS:Just a few photos from the Bain et Miror exhibit.The exhibit showed how the Romans understanding of chemistry gave them a large variety of colors to use for make up powder. Gorgeous pinks which looked great as powders, not sure how they'd look on skin.
Ever wonder how they got those wild hairdos? They used a net like the one above and pulled their hair through the holes in tufts to make designs, effectively making a kind of wighat. Very clever!
