LIZ SAYS: Well, its finally going to happen, in theory, we are going to sign next week! The apartment will be ours. Then a long slog of rehab and then Buster, Teddy and Liz and Dick will have a real home.
Today we went around with two members of the company that runs the building, whatever that means, Conrad the contractor and the Fixer and met all the neighbors that have walls that touch ours. We saw their apartments, while the managing people took photos to record any damage, so that if they try to say we damaged their walls, we can say, no, no, no.
I was impressed by the neighbors apartments, they were bright, and the architectural details really shine when they are painted white.
Our apartment is totally empty now. Its walls are sallow and the dirty carpet really looks gross. But still, the apartment looks like a young child with chocolate all over their cheeks. Just a little clean up and she will be so darling. Even dirty , she's sweet.
