a Rainbow in Paris
LIZ SAYS: The moon is a gorgeous crescent and there was a rainbow today. There was a sunshower, the sun was shining for the second day in a row. A virtual miracle. Then we looked up and there it was between the buildings, Dick spotted a rainbow.
Finally, things have slowed down a bit on the apartment prepping front. We have gotten most of the essential things like new radiators and floor tiles. Adrian has gone to Capetown and we can just slow down a bit.
Looking up at the rainbow today made me feel so happy to be here again. Back from rehab world to the city of Paris. place where French isn't an obstacle, but something more to learn.
We went to a show last weekend called Artishow. It's a play on the french word for artichoke, which sounds like arty show. It was full of stereotypes and jokes I could only guess at. Like the rather larger version of Brigette Bardot with a stuffed poodle on a toy Harley. Evidently, she did a song about riding on a Harley Davidson ages ago. A Micheal Jackson tribute, enough said (about that). We had a ball. The made up actors did everything from taking tickets to serving us food and drink, then they put on the show. It must be an exhausting night. The dancers were fabulous when doing imaginative fantastical things, but I didn't care for the impersonations of pop stars like Britney Spears, but frankly I think it had more to do with not really liking Britney Spears in the first place.
That was our last night with Adrian and Frederic before his Capetown trip.
Tomorrow we will sneak a peek at the apartment/work site. Maybe there will be another rainbow.
