springing
LIZ SAYS: Its funny because I know Wisconsin is all about football at the moment, but today is the day they celebrate Chinese New Year in Paris. It is the year of Bugs Bunny, judging from the balloons, but I am not beginning at the beginning.
I have been talking about the grayness of winter in Paris, whist everyone in the States is smothering under blankets of snow. Today, was a miracle. A sunny and bright Sunday presented itself, so we went out walking. We decided to explore an area near us, not the most beautiful part of the city, but who knows what we would find. First we wandered past the bizarre automat. It has foodstuffs in the window and an automat system. It is the funniest, non-French, place. Its like a dream from the 50’s. And, like the squirrel scratch marks on the bird feeder, there are signs of people trying to break into the system, just because.
Someone must use it because it is fully stocked and it has been there since before we first noticed it over a year ago.
