just out and about in Amsterdam

LIZ SAYS: We walked around a bit in Amsterdam. It was sunny most of the time but a bit colder than Paris. I noticed the difference between Paris and Amsterdam almost immediately.
Everyone in Amsterdam was more than eager to speak English. It was weird, if they spoke Dutch, it almost seemed like a secret language. No one was really concerned with fashion or 'look's. It was extremely disorienting. In Paris, everyone looks everyone up and down and it means nothing. In Amsterdam, if you looked at someone, they would re-act as if you had caught them doing something wrong. It reminded me of Wisconsin a lot. Critiquing outfits and people watching is just not done. It's more "What? What are you looking at? Is my zipper undone, Have I done something wrong?".
I bean to understand the 'norm' of America was Dutch.
Speaking of the norm, here is a poster of a criminal in Holland. If you see this guy, watch out!
