and the there is the Tea

LIZ SAYS: One thing has bugged me ever since I got here. Summer comes and it's ice tea weather. But, ice tea is not such a French thing.Wine, yes, uh, tea, not so much.
First there is The Frappe, which is whipped tea. I don't know how they do it or why, but it's tea that looks like beer. It has a head, which is thick and creamy. When you get to the actual tea, it tastes pretty much like tea made with bags or leaves, water and more than likely sugar. Well, it does look good and that's a really French thing, looking good.
Then, there is Nestea, almost always peche or peach. It is very, very sweet and in a bottle. Sometimes it comes to the table in a glass masquerading as home made brew, but as soon as you get it up to your mouth that aroma hits your nose and you know whats coming.
The most mysterious of all is the fizzy tea. Yes, that is right carbonated tea-like stuff. It seems very much like tea gone bad.
It is a muddle. Tea can be made for pennies a glass, the profit margin would be incredible and yet, they buy it in bottles. Fresh real tea is cheap and delish, I just don't get it. I guess it has something to do with a rivalry with Britain, otherwise known as the beast from the sea.
