LIZ SAYS: While we were seeking coffee between exhibitions in Amsterdam, we passed a table in the Jordaan. It was curious, a table sitting in the street, unattended, with glasses of something and food. The table was dressed and set as if for guests. The door to the place behind the table was open, but there was no sign of what was going on, although we could hear some sounds like humming coming from the building.
When we passed again in the opposite direction, we were surprised to see that the whole thing was an offering. Evidently, there were monks who were visiting Amsterdam. We could feel the joy as we passed the impromptu photo shoot. How sweet!
