Diana Thater’s Chernobyl consisted of four walls of projections of the wasteland that was Chernobyl (2010), with the shadows of everyone that entered the room breaking the scene. We were cast as shadows in and over the unreal scape of Chernobyl. It was suitably creepy.
Lee Bontecou had an untitled piece that I adored. It was reminiscent of so many things. Dark and warm, it was fashioned from various kinds of recycled and refitted cloth. The whole thing screamed of bottom heavy music and shadows.
