Now for the girlie prospective, I was shocked at how fast all the 70's remodeling was demolished. We found that the original kitchen is exactly where we were planning to put the new kitchen. The original ceilings in the hallway, kitchen and bathroom are actually almost 10 inches higher. The plan was always to get baby back to her original glory, but we did not expect her to be so much better. The original kitchen had been walled off, the re-modelers had put in uneven dropped ceilings, and there was some cheap foamy trim in the front hall. The hallway closet revealed the original place for the toilet and a large window that will add light to the bathroom. Everything else is real, strong and lovely.
