Snowglobe Paris
LIZ SAYS: It's like living in a snow globe. It has been snowing everyday for the past week. It's not Wisconsin winter snow, the kind that comes down in beautiful white blankets and looks all Christmasey and cosy. It is more like the spring snow in Wisconsin, it comes down like big wet dollops. It coats everything in a fine white, slightly icy, very wet film. It can ll be gone in an hour. One minute its snowing sideways, the next the streets are dry and saying "what snow?"
But, Paris being Paris, nothing gets it down. Two days ago, while the skies had been gray for longer than a week with the aforementioned snow blowing through daily, here comes a parade. People dancing with balloons and signs. Who know what it was about, but it was undeniably Parisien. Vive l'hiver! (Long live winter! ;-} )
