Brocante This Time

LIZ SAYS: A Brocante is like a flea market that magically shows up on your doorstep two to four weekends a year. Step out into the street and there is a row of tarp covered stalls from one end to the street to another. People from over, Europe and beyond come to sell everything from old handkerchiefs to Soviet block portraits of old Russian heroes.
Dick says it reminds him that there is a lot of junk in this world and I tend to agree. Although, some junk is cuter and cooler than other junk. I am not taking anything back to the apartment becomes mon mantra. And it is pretty easy to stick to the promise not to bring home something that I will be tripping over for the next six months until I finally put it in the 'cave', the dirty, primitive storage hole in the basement. Going down to the cave is enough of a deterrent to put anyone off.
