LIZ SAYS: Along with the current Europe wide domination of fizzy bottled
sweetened tea , I am really beginning to detest the growing menace of
Nespressoization of the coffee product, producing a kind of
Frankencoffee.
I am an unabashed latte lover. And, although the French call to cafe creme, same dif.
Good hot milk, the foam it makes, so you have to lick your spoon, add a shot of espresso, and it is more than anyone could want.
But, now a days, in Amsterdam, you are more likely to get this stuff with about two inches of styrofoam on top.
I scraped the muck off of the top of my fairly decent milky coffee flavored stuff just to show you the evil froth. My glass of the foam kept its perfect foam form in the glass for well over a half hour. My guess is that if that glass was still there tomorrow, it would look exactly the same, even if it rains tonight.
You know, if we let them do this to coffee, hot chocolate won't be safe and hot tea will be next.
Don't say I didn't warn you!
